We’re calling on all young artists to help design the poster and program cover for our 2025 Golden Horseshoes Festival! This is your chance to get creative and showcase your talent in front of the whole town.

 

The winner will have the incredible honor of opening the festival alongside the mayor, featuring in our grand parade, and receiving a fantastic hamper full of surprises.

 

All artwork submitted will be on display during the festival, and runners up will be used on our website, social media and more

 

So gather your art supplies, let your imagination soar, and show us what you’ve got!

Your poster checklist

  • Size:  must be A4 (210mm x 297mm) 

  • ​can be originally created in any medium (pencil, paint, crayon, digitally, collage etc) but final format must be digital.

  • File Format: Submit your poster as a PDF file.

  • Colors to Include: Use the following colors in your design: Purple, Orange, and Gold.

  • Theme: Your poster should represent Beechworth and the theme “Cultures Through Time.”

  • Text: we will be adding text/ logos to the design 

  • Deadline: Submit your poster by the 21st of November 2024.

  • No Copyrighted Images: Use your own artwork, and do not include any copyrighted images.

  • Permission: Have a parent or guardian's permission before submitting your poster.

Terms & Conditions for the Beechworth Golden Horseshoes Festival 2025 Artwork Design Competition

  1. Eligibility:

    • The competition is open to primary school aged children

    • Participants must reside in or attend school in the postcode 3747.

  2. Theme:

    • All entries must align with the theme: “Cultures Through Time,” and represent Beechworth.

  3. Submission Guidelines:

  4. Design Requirements:

    • Entries must include the colors purple, orange, and gold.

    • The artwork must be the original work of the participant. No copyrighted images, logos, or material from other sources should be used.

  5. Judging Criteria:

    • Entries will be judged on creativity, relevance to the theme, and overall design.

    • The judges’ decision is final and cannot be contested.

  6. Prizes:

    • Winner will be awarded prizes: having the incredible honor of opening the festival alongside the mayor, leading the parade, and receiving a fantastic hamper full of surprises.

    • Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or other alternatives.

  7. Copyright and Usage:

    • By entering the competition, participants grant the Beechworth Golden Horseshoes Festival the right to use, publish, and display the artwork in any media without further permission or compensation.

    • Entries may be used for promotional purposes related to the competition and future events.

  8. Parental Consent:

    • All participants must have the consent of a parent or guardian to enter the competition.

    • By submitting an entry, parents or guardians agree to these Terms & Conditions on behalf of the participant.

  9. Disqualification:

    • Any entry that does not comply with these Terms & Conditions may be disqualified at the discretion of the competition organizers.
